I am just back from the USA after a month mixing business (judging at Equine Art 2007 Emerald Downs and a solo show in Enumclaw) and the pleasure of visiting with friends and family. While I was away I had the pleasant surprise of hearing I had been awarded the 'Presidents Medal' at the Society of Equestrian Artists summer exhibition at Mall Galleries, London. This is the Society's prestigious award for 'the most meritous group of work'. I have been exhibiting with the SEA for about 10 years and it is a pleasure to recieve this compliment and acknowledgement of my work. Three of the works exhibited, the 'Power in Hand ' series, will be published as fine art prints by Sally Mitchell Fine Art.
Now, back to the easel, lots of fresh ideas and inspiration from my travels and I am eager to get started. I will be working on commissions and also readying for upcoming exhibitions.
THE HORSE IN ART 2007 at Obsidian Art Buckinghamshire 30th August - 30th Sept 2007 www.obsidianart.co.uk I love showing my work at this venue, Trisha has created a wonderful gallery space and has a gifted eye for hanging a broad array of equine art in differing styles.
BRITISH DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIPS 13 - 16th Sept Stoneleigh Park- Fingers crossed for good weather during this feast of dressage. I have taken a stand at this event for the last two years and it is now a firm favorite , one of my rare chances to get out and talk to the people who come and view my work.
